Patrol Season starts this weekend!

This weekend marks the start of our patrolling season.

Woolamai Beach SLSC is a unique club where we not only patrol the coast along Woolamai Beach but patrol Smiths Beach as well. In order to patrol both beaches we need to ensure we meet the minimum patrol requirements.

The club understands that it is a very important time of year for most of our members with exams and school wrapping up however if you are free to come down, we would love the extra hands!

We would appreciate any help this year throughout our patrol season. We will be running the Patrol Hour Award again so make sure you get down and support not only your patrol but others as well

The mighty SANDMAN group will be kicking us off this season!!

Thanks

Campbell Smart - Director of Lifesaving Services

Volunteering Opportunities - We need your help!

As we fast approach the start of the season the Woolamai Board is looking for some help filling out these roles!

We currently have 5 specific roles to advertise, however if you have skills in other areas or are eager to help out in other ways, please get in contact as we won’t say no!

Read the position description for more information about the roles and reach out with any questions you might have.

To apply to any of the roles - please fill out this form

Applications for these 5 roles will be close Sunday 19th November

Helpers Wanted - Carols by Candlelight San Remo

The club’s been invited to run a BBQ at Carols by Candlelight at San Remo on Friday 15 December. Various jobs from mid afternoon onwards: snag turning, food collection & prep, sales, transporting BBQ trailer, set up, clean up, & dancing/singing in Santa hats! Great opportunity to promote the club too.

Please contact Campbell Smart if you can assist lifesavingservices@woolamaibeach.asn.au

Member Training Portal Upgrade

In an effort to make the Member Training Portal clearer and more intuitive, an improved User Interface (UI) has been released.

To learn more about what has changed, please click here https://lsv.com.au/wp-content/uploads/Circular-120.11.23-Release-of-Member-Training-Portal-Updates-2.pdf

When completing the E-Learning for Skills Maintenance, please ensure you complete all awards that are applicable to you. LSV updated this function which prevents members from doing the e-learning for awards they do not hold.

Follow the steps below to complete this process:

  1. Enrol into course by clicking “Yellow Enrol Button”

  2. Lunch into the e-learning by clicking “Blue Launch Button”

  3. Once the E-learning is complete you will see a “Green Completed Button”

For more information and guides on how to complete the above steps, please read our skills maintenance page https://www.woolamaibeach.org.au/skills-maintenance
