Working With Children Check (WWCC)

 
 

The Working with Children Check is a screening process for assessing or re-assessing people who work with or care for children in Victoria. Woolamai Beach SLSC complies with all government legislation, therefore anyone over the age of 18 years, MUST have a WWCC that has been acknowledged and accepted by the Membership Officer.


Important Information

Any person 18 years and over, in a voluntary or salaried position, who works with person’s under 18 years of age in any capacity is required to have a valid Working with Children Check registered to Life Saving Victoria and their Life Saving Club. Even police officers require a WWCC; however teachers can use their Victorian Insitute of Teaching (VIT) number,

  • All holders of WWCC or VIT must register Woolamai Beach SLSC and Life Saving Victoria (LSV) as Organisations on your WWCC.

  • Membership applications without the appropriate WWCC/VIT information will not be accepted.

Instructions on How to Register for a WWCC

Step 1: Login to the WWCC website here. If you do not have an account, please make one and then proceed as normal.

Step 2: Select “Apply for check” on the right hand side of the screen and follow the instructions.

  • Include WBSLSC and LSV in your Organisations – details as follows:

  • Include the following Occupational Codes: 10 (Overnight Camps) & 70 (Clubs & Associations)

  • Complete the application process.

Note: If you do not provide a valid WWCC, your membership request will not be accepted.
