'Mental Health Matters' workshop

Our friends over at Inverloch SLSC have kindly extended an invitation to us for the upcoming 'Mental Health Matters' workshop hosted by the Emergency Services Foundation at Inverloch SLSC on November 18th.

It’s a really fantastic workshop which aims to initiate conversations, discuss mental health and how to support one another. The free workshop is specifically designed for people in the sector, by people in the sector.

We aim to bring together all local services for this event and kindly request that you share this invitation with your staff and volunteers.

Topics covered in this 2.5 hour informal workshop include:

✔️ What is mental fitness?

✔️ Identifying the signs & symptoms

✔️ What’s in your toolbox

✔️ What’s my PPE?

✔️ Who is in your support crew?

✔️ Where to get help

✔️ Stigma around mental health

✔️ How to help others

✔️ How to effectively ask R U OK?

We strongly encourage you bring a partner or support person from home such as an older child or close friend.

The 2.5 hour workshop will commence at 10am and attendees are invited to stay after for lunch and networking.

Please RSVP through the Facebook event linked below to assist the team in arranging catering:
