Joining in the Nipper Program

 
 

“Are you interested in being involved in the Woolamai Beach Nipper Program? Surf Life Saving is a great activity for growing a child's confidence, knowledge and skills in the beach environment. Not only will your child have fun and meet new friends, they will become part of an iconic organisation that has served the Australian community for over 100 years”


To be able to participate in the Nipper Program, each member of the family MUST be a member of Woolamai Beach SLSC. Parents will need to create their own membership profile first, and then create a profile for each child separately via SLS’s online membership portal. Please follow the step by step guide bellow if you are completing this for the first time.

New Members

To Join as a new member, please follow the bellow steps

Step 1: Go to sls.com.au/join and answer the question below:

Step 2: Click on the answer that is applicable to you, and you will be directed to the appropriate next step.

If you have answered No – Please follow the instructions immediately below.

If you have answered Yes – Please refer to the instructions here

Step 3. Select the entity ‘Surf Life Saving Club’ in response to the question ‘Which service would you like to join?’. You must then select ‘Woolamai Beach’ from the drop down options and confirm whether you’re wanting join as an individual or a family. By clicking family, you will be a bel to register both yourself and your child at once.

Important note: The contact details of your selected Club will appear on the right-hand side of the screen, as you can see in the image above. If you selected the option to join as a family, you will see an additional field to give your family group a name.

Step 4. You will now be asked for some personal details – First name, surname, date of birth and gender. If you are joining as a family, the personal details provided here will be for the primary member of this group, and that person must be 18 years old and over.

Note: You can provide the details of all others in your family group by clicking Add Family Member.

 

Step 5: There will be further personal details asked for the ‘Primary Contact’ (parent/guardian) - Email Address, Mobile, Address, Emergency Contact Information.

Please Note: This information is for the Primary Contact

Step 6. You will be taken to the Summary page where you can see all details entered. Here you will be asked to create your Members Area account username and password.

The Members Area Portal will be used for any future membership renewals and so please use a username & password you will remember for the following season.

Step 7: You will be required to acknowledge and agree to the declaration statements.

 

If you are joining as a family, there will be one additional declaration that you must agree to as the parent or guardian of your family group.

 

Step 6. You will see confirmation that your application has successfully been submitted, and you are now required to make a payment.

**Please Note: If you are participating in the Nippers Program, you are NOT required to make payment!
