Community and Strategy - Nic Frances Gilley

I have enjoyed my year as a new member of the board. It’s a real honour to support the work that we do especially as so much of the leadership are young and talented women and men.  

I undertook a review of our Vision, Mission and Board organising structure which we have now adopted. Thanks to all the members who helped me to understand our club’s journey and helped guide this work.  

We have just started a review of all our communication platforms and I hope that we will have a clear direction and a team to improve how we stay connected to each other and to keep sharing the important work we do. 

 This year I have been working with club members and our wider community on ensuring that we have Public Safety Equipment on all the access points along the Island’s coastline.  Working with LSV, the Shire and Nature Parks we plan to have this equipment installed before the next season. This will be rolled out across the whole State and has been informed by all the work we have done at the club this year. 

Looking forward to supporting the great work of all our extraordinary members next year.
